Have You Heard the Latest News?

Over the last 3 years, my husband and I have been in prayer about a decision that has been on Tim’s heart. Just in the last few months the Lord has really brought this to the forefront of our hearts and after some fasting and deep prayer, we feel the Lord has told us it is time to move forward. So out of obedience to the Lord….

We would like to announce

Tim will officially be living out his lifelong dream…to be a military soldier. Yes that is right…Tim has enlisted in the United States Army and we can’t be more thrilled, as we know with certainty, this is God’s best for our lives. Now we are not fooled by the challenges that are ahead, like us being separated for several months next year while Tim is training, future deployments, closing our businesses, moving and all the other unknowns as we enter into this new chapter of our lives…but even with those challenges we have complete peace knowing we are doing exactly what God has called us to do. We know we can trust Him completely every step of the way.

Trust in the Lord

Some of our friends and family are frightened by our decision and can’t fathom why we would choose to do this…especially at Tim’s age, having a 2 year old son and with all that is going on in the world today. Our answer is this: Our trust is completely in the Lord! We know with certainty we are called to walk this path and we will not let fear keep us from moving forward. Tim and I are in complete agreement that we are to do this. We are eager and excited to see what the Lord has in store for our family.
You see, Tim and I don’t want to play it safe while living our earthly lives. We do not want to get to heaven one day and hear the Lord say, “you missed my very best for your life because you played it safe…you chose comfort over truly trusting me.” We want to get to heaven and hear the Lord say, “well done they good and faithful servant.”  Matthew 25:21

Fears griping your life

I know all too well when fear has a grip on me and in the midst of that fear I choose comfort over taking a leap of faith and trusting God. I lived this way most of my life…consumed and paralyzed by worries and fears. (Read about my journey of transformation, freeing me from all fears and worries, in my book Living Still) I look back and I see how much time was wasted worrying about all the “what ifs”. I know that if I don’t keep my eyes on Christ, as we walk this military path we are called to walk, I could easily stumble and fall back into that negative mind set of fear and worry.

Think on things above-Colossians 3:2

What if God stands behind His promises and……

  • Protects us-The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalms 121:7-8
  • Provides for us-And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
  • Leads us-Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
  • Comforts us-Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
  • Guides us-Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
  • Strengthens us– but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

We are choosing to not play it safe and we have dared to trust God deeply as we take this leap of faith. What a beautiful outcome it WILL be!!! Stay in the loop as we journey forward…click here to subscribe to my monthly newsletter.

BEAUTIFULLY written! So amazing sister. Radical blessings come with relentless obedience to the Lord. You will be blessed in more ways than you can imagine, even through the uncertainty and troubles that are sure to be along the way. I must say, I recently decided to completely step out in faith and trust God as well. We’ve decided to take a leap of faith and move to Colorado . . . just because I feel God’s leading and blessing. Well, our house sold after one showing only five days on the market. Only God! We move in a week and a half and even with all of the uncertainty, I am CERTAIN this is God’s miraculous answer to prayers!!!! Trust Him ALWAYS!

Know that I will be praying for your family and daily thanking you for the sacrifice you are making so that my family and I can have the freedoms and joys we so much enjoy. Sending lots of love and BIG hugs,
    Cherie
