Do Not Fear

Do not fear

My mind was swirling with doubts and fears.

The feelings were so intense;

I couldn’t hold back the tears.

I was empty and alone,

But felt a pull in my heart leading me back home.

I resisted for a while,

But found myself crying out like a child,

Saying, “Father, I am here.

I long to see your face.

I’ve been distracted and out of place.”

I sat for a while and heard,

“Be still. I know exactly how you feel.”

I listened as He spoke

The wisdom and direction I needed the most.

He said, “Listen, my child, why are you afraid?

You know that doubt and fear are not my way.

I will provide and care for you

Just as I have promised to.

Stay focused on me, and you will see

That all things work out perfectly.

I know you don’t understand,

But trust me. It’s all part of the plan.

I’m your daddy, and I have your hand.

Now walk with me,

and see that I am the great I AM.”
