Cell Phone Addiction

I miss the days when cell phones didn’t exist! I am saddened when I look around and see so many people missing opportunities to be “fully” present with the ones around them….especially their spouses and children.  I can only imagine this saddens God’s heart as well.  We are missing precious time that God gave us, that we will never get… back, to be fully engaged with the family and friends He has blessed us with…..instead we are choosing to be with our smartphones instead.  To me this is just SAD!!  This says to the other person, I value the time with my phone more then I value my time with you….and you are teaching your children a bad habit as well. The same thing goes for your time with your TV, iPad, computer, video games, etc.

 1. Learn to balance the time you spend on your phone.
2. Make your phone an accessory rather than a priority.
3. Give yourself limitations as to when and where your phone can be used.
4. Control how you use your phone, and stop allowing your phone to control you.
5. Try spending parts of your weekends unplugged, offline, and away from your mobile device.(List was taken from an article I read “Why I am getting a divorce in 2014″…the divorce is with his phone)
