LEWIS FAMILY IS ARMY BOUND!!
Well we are approaching Tim’s ship out date for the Army rather quickly. So many people are asking us how we are doing but the common thing I am seeing as they ask is a general concerned look in their eyes or their voice. I believe they expect us, especially me, to be an emotional mess. So I answer their question, and as I do, I sense they are surprised by my answer and some I sense they don’t even believe me as I tell them how excited and eager we both are. Many of you don’t know this but Tim mentioned the military to me 3 years ago while I was pregnant with our son Shia. We have been pondering, praying and doing some fasting together for clarity since then. Tim has also done many hours of research regarding the military since it was placed on his heart to do so 3 years ago. God finally gave Tim direction and wisdom a few months ago and opened a door to the US ARMY for our family. So you can imagine after 3 years of waiting for God’s perfect timing….who wouldn’t be excited and eager to get started.
The greatest thing God has given us with this opportunity is a peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7 This is how we are certain this path is of God. Only He could give us this kind of peace to walk this path but it takes Tim and I trusting in Him fully.

The only down fall of the Army is us being separated for a short time during training and any future deployments. BUT, when you pray and seek after God for direction…just like we have…then you would know with confidence…just like we do…and you could trust God fully…just like we are…that this is the best path for yourself.
I know that not everyone could do what we are called to do nor should they but Tim has desired this path for a long time. The military was placed on his heart as a child and it has never left him. He began praying deeply about it 3 years ago and NOW, here we are. Tim will finally be matching his passion (to serve and protect) with his paycheck and as his wife, I couldn’t be more thrilled for him. I am so proud of him and I give him my 100% support.
There is nothing like having a sense of purpose and living out your dreams and thanks to God and the US ARMY, Tim is finally getting to do this.
